Happy National Nonprofit Day! Here at the Ronald McDonald House, we are happy to do our work in a community so vibrant with nonprofits and helpers. We are convinced that good work is happening every day in the Fargo-Moorhead area and are so grateful to be part of this nonprofit landscape.

One of our favorite parts about the work we do as a nonprofit is collaborating and working in partnership with other nonprofit organizations. We like helping others, together. In order to serve our families well, we rely heavily on these partnerships and collaborations. We partner with the Great Plains Food Bank to help stock our cupboards so families can cook delicious and nutritious meals. We also strive to use the services of other charities whenever possible such as purchasing items from Habitat for Humanity ReStore, ARC Attic Treasures and Dakota Boys Ranch.

Relatedly, we work with North Dakota State University, Minnesota State University Moorhead and Concordia College to provide a wide range of volunteer, internship and service learning opportunities for students. We partner with area churches, businesses, high school groups, and service organizations who donate goods and services to assist our guests and maintain the clean and attractive appearance of our properties. We work directly with social workers from all Fargo-Moorhead medical centers to identify and refer families who may benefit from our services.

It really is a team effort to serve our RMHC families well!
